Warning: This is not a story about fate or destiny. This is a story about pain, sorrow, and suffering. This is an impulsive whirlwind romance between two lovers that are not meant to be together. Theirs is not a world with sunshine and roses. Instead, their love blossoms in a secret world full of crime, violence, and death. Their story is about what can be born from nightmares.
Danielle “Danny” West is the daughter of Deuce West, President of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. A sweet and beautiful girl, she loses her way, searching for things that are always out of her reach. Erik “Ripper” Jacobs is the Sergeant of Arms in the Hell’s Horsemen. Once a man who always had a smile on his face, his life takes a turn for the worst when a tragedy befalls him, leaving him scarred and broken. During a midsummer night, Danny and Ripper’s paths cross, forever changing their lives. Hastily, their lust turns to love until another tragedy forces them apart. On a journey that is marred with ugliness and chaos, Danny and Ripper must discover if their unforeseen connection can find the beauty in their world.
This is Danny and Ripper’s story.
Everything has beauty. Even the ugly. Especially the ugly.
Because without ugly, there would be no beauty.
I abso-fucking-lutely love these books!!! And Unbeautifully delivered to the nth degree!
Five Rip-Roaring, Motherfucking, Unbeautiful Stars!
I feel the need to include a little warning in my reviews of Madeline’s books, to those who aren’t familiar with the Undeniable series.
If you are a fan of fluffy romance, chick lit and opposed to bad language, violence and other unmentionables, these books will not be for you.
Madeline holds nothing back in her books. Think gang rape, murder, ‘fuck’ in every sentence and a whole lot more. I totally get that this won’t be for everybody, but personally, it totally fascinates me and I can’t get enough of them.
After all the shit they’d gone through – the pain, the loss, the heartache, the straight up evil brutality that made them question everything they’d thought to be true and had nearly driven them apart for good – he knew he’d do anything for her. Steal anything, kill anyone, be anyone.
I’ve always had a real morbid fascination with dark, sociological, criminal underworld kinds of stories, so for me, this hits every spot. But it’s certainly not everyone’s bag. So I would strongly advise you not to read these books if you don’t think you can cope with the unconventional, gritty, violent, raw content.
Love is a feeling, a real, raw, and unscripted emotion so sensationally pure, unable to dull even under the strain of a world against it, strong enough to heal the broken and warm even the coldest of hearts.
Ok, that said, I could read these books alllll day long!
I love the dialogue, the flow, the characters, the ease at which the author tells the story, the alternating POVs and between first and third person. All of it. It just works! And then some. It’s one of those you’ll be reading while you’re cooking/drying your hair/making the coffee. It’s one of those books that will make you great at doing everything one handed.
“I love her,” he rasped, his eyes on Danny. “You want me to beg, I’ll fuckin’ beg. I’ll do whatever I gotta do if it means she keeps breathin’.”
The characters; I feel like I know them all so well. Madeline Sheehan does a fantastic job of building a whole network of detailed, life-like characters.
I loved that Eva and Deuce’s story continued within Unbeautifully. It was great to have those gaps filled in and read more of them.
And Ripper and Danny’s story was gripping.
It was fast paced, hot and heavy, original and real! A story where opposites attract and beautiful is discovered in a whole heap of fugly!
He didn’t just want to fuck her, he didn’t just want her in his bed…
He wanted her on the back of his bike.
Yeah, he wanted to lay claim to Danielle West, ink his name on her body and slap an old lady patch on her ass. And worse, he wanted the world to know it.
These are the characters that you know you should hate, but can’t help but love. These aggressive, trigger-happy, rebellious, can’t-keep-their-dick-in-their-pants, foul mouthed, badass bikers, who work their way straight into your heart.
“I’m tryin’ to figure out whether I’m gonna slap some sense into you or fuck the shit outta you.”
I’d let any one of ’em put me on the back of their bikes!!
